Bridges Project, a local agency based in Musselburgh, providing services to homeless and disadvantaged young people in East Lothian and Midlothian, recently hosted a multi-national European seminar. The key objective of the seminar, the second in a set of three was to put in place the building blocks required to establish and support a network of local European youth organisations, associations and projects to provide mobility, exchange, volunteering and training opportunities for young people, volunteers and staff. Whilst not exclusively directed towards disadvantaged young people, the proposed network does intend to give a large degree of priority to those young people who are much more distant from the mainstream structures which already support young people from across Europe.
